When and how did you discover your passion for software development?
I wanted to pursue a career in Software Development when I started being good at it and enjoying it. Also, it was challenging and I love a challenge. Willing to improve professionally and the IT industry offering that made my decision to become a software developer easier.
What was your previous experience and education?
Choosing the harder path professionally and after spending some period studying and working in another industry, I decided to join a software development academy and challenge myself. That was a totally new area for me, but I was ready for it and with my desire, passion and support from the people around me I graduated from the Frontend Academy in Brainster.
How did you decide to apply at Kin + Carta?
Investing myself fully in the program, I was noticed by my mentor and recommended by him in Kin + Carta. And of course, the opportunity to continue working and learning from the mentor led to me joining the Kin + Carta team.
How has Kin + Carta changed since you first applied?
Since the beginning of my career in Kin + Carta I can tell that the company has grown, it got united with a company in Pristina and then became part of Kin + Carta. One thing that I find as a very positive change is that the frequency of people in the office is getting higher, which results in a better and healthier working atmosphere.
What has changed for you since you started this job?
Joining as a junior frontend developer, all the way to now I am working as a full stack developer. I have the opportunity to learn new software technologies, including backend, so I sure grow both professionally and personally.
How have you changed?
I became more challengeable and comfortable to speak my mind.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at the company?
Always strive to avoid stagnation and work until the work is done, make connecting with others, and be a team player.
What was the most interesting project you have worked on so far?
The most interesting project for me is the one I am working on currently - Electives. The project itself is interesting, it uses newer technologies and there is a room for improvement and expansion. The team members and the communication and collaboration with them on daily basis makes it even more interesting.
And the most challenging?
This project also gave me the opportunity to expand my skills in backend development. So every task related to the backend is challenging for me, but at the same time makes me more technically ready.

In my free time I try to relax my mind and body and go to nature, and spend time with my friends.
